Shane Mosley Jr delivered the biggest win of his career, stopping former interim super-welterweight champion Serhii Bohachuk in the sixth round at Zuffa Boxing 06 in Las Vegas.
The 35-year-old American boxer (23-5, 5 KOs) entered the fight as a clear underdog against Bohachuk, who had previously held secondary and interim world titles at 154 pounds. Despite not scoring a stoppage victory in over three years, Mosley Jr showed no hesitation, growing stronger as the bout progressed.

Mosley Jr consistently countered the Ukrainian’s pressure with sharp combinations and effective punch timing. In the sixth round, he dropped Bohachuk with a clean knockdown, forcing the Ukrainian to use all ten seconds to recover. However, Mosley Jr immediately followed up with another big right hand and a flurry of punches against the ropes, prompting the referee to step in at 2:38 of the round.
A unanimous decision loss to Jesus Ramos in December 2024 had stalled Mosley Jr’s momentum, but this victory breathes new life into his middleweight campaign. He is the son of legendary boxer Shane Mosley Sr.

“I want my piece of the Mosley pie to be great and to show that,” Mosley Jr said after the win. “I wanted to do this sport for me. I told everybody when I was 15 years old—when I got punched in the nose, I wanted to get back. This is the result of that. I get punched in the nose. I get punched in the face. What’s up? I’m here.”

The result marks a major upset in the Zuffa Boxing series and reignites Mosley Jr’s career in the middleweight division.
